I don’t really know how to phrase it, but I’ve have a growing discontentment with my average job that isn’t really doing much to impact the world with the Gospel.
Many Christians can have the standard occupation and glorify God in that; they should! And I too make a conscious effort to daily work and live for the honor of God. However, doing it in this line of work doesn’t really satisfy. I want a lifestyle that is more directly involved in open Gospel-living and Gospel-sharing.
So, maybe you feel this way, too. Want my advice? Do something about it. And here’s a good place to start: Africa Inland Mission and their TIMO program. Commit two years of your life to live simply, learn another culture and language, and love a group of people who haven’t heard the Good News.
Two years isn’t a long time, but it can make a difference for eternity. So, take a break from chasing the American dream and do something that will last forever.
