Seeing the Glory of God in Creation (from the vantage point of the BBC)

Our family Christmas present this year is the Planet Earth series.  It is put out by the BBC, and therefore is narrated by a British man (this adds to the educational feel.  I feel smarter after watching).  We got a pretty sweet deal too.  If you’ll click on the link above, it will take you to Amazon.com and you can buy it for $29.99 instead of the regular $79.98.

If you want to give someone a gift that will (hopefully) put them in awe of creation and the one who creates – I would recommend it. The footage is unbelievable.

Malaki loves anything with animals, so he loves Planet Earth; and Brian and I are fascinated right alongside him.

I’m amazed at how the plants, animals, and waters work together to nourish each other.  It truly is amazing the way our God sets these things in motion and sustains them.

O Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
What is man that you are mindful of him,

And the son of man that you care for him?

You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,

All sheep and oxen,
And also the beasts of the field,
The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,
Whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

O Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:1,3,6-9 (emphasis mine)
